Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch

So someone from Washington Court House commented on this post, where I talked about how the correct pronounciation was "Washington CH". I just found it funny. He said that he found my site by googling for Washington Court House, though I did not find any listing when I googled it. Maybe he was talking about a blogger search where I do show up (about 7 down).

In any case, it's ch-ch-ch baby! :-)

He's a she! :)

And sorry - I was just joking when I responded. I don't know if that's how it came out. I actually thought your post was funny because I haven't ever heard anyone pronounce it like that and I now have a compulsion to do so.

And oh - I meant Google's "blog search." I should have been more specific.
No problem - I wasn't annoyed or anything - if anything it was good to hear feedback from a real-live CHer!

I'm glad to see that the compulsion of the CH has infected you. It's very catchy.

I think the discrepancy comes in because most people's only view of Washington CH is from the signs on 71. And while most people don't say they live on Fifth "ST" or Maple "DR", since those are common abbreviations, I'd be surprised if most people even knew what CH stands for. I know because I'm a geography nut and from the same general area, but I'd bet most people do not.

Long live the CH!
